- We have received Explorer 6610, the second generation of the model. Manufactured for only a very short period from 1955 to 1958, its rarity increases year by year. This particular watch has serial number 16, a case back dated 1956 (second production run), and is fitted with a US Jubilee bracelet. Its gold hour and minute hands, large white dot second hand, and the aged, aged mirror dial characteristic of the 1950s are particularly appealing. While some luminous material has been repaired and the crown was replaced at a later date, the overall aesthetic remains intact. It is equipped with the Cal. 1030, ROLEX 's first bidirectional automatic winding movement.
