- This is the only ROLEX design by legendary watch designer Gerald Genta. Commonly known as the "King Midas," it's part of the "Cellini" line that debuted in the 1970s. Named after King Midas from Greek mythology, it derives from the "Midas touch," which could turn everything it touched into gold. The asymmetrical case shape is an architectural design inspired by the Parthenon in Greece. A key feature is the crown positioned on the left side.
