About the GMT function

GMT
GMT is an abbreviation for Greenwich Mean Time, and it refers to a function that allows you to display multiple time zones, including Greenwich Mean Time, using a 24-hour hand (GMT hand) and a 24-hour scale.

It can also display the time in Japan and overseas, making it a popular feature among business people.
Many watches use a single crown to control both the current time zone (home time) and the second time zone (local time).

Other types include those that display a third time zone using a rotating bezel, those that display a second time zone using a sub-dial, and even hybrid types that combine the functions of both watches.
