- This Heritage Collection model from Grand Seiko features the world-renowned "Spring Drive" movement. This unique SEIKO mechanism uses the power of a spring to control accuracy through precise signals from a quartz crystal. The traditional techniques and know-how of mechanical watchmaking, inherited from the 1960s, are evident in the meticulous polishing of each pinion and pivot in the gear train, which physically transmits power from the spring, minimizing energy loss. The light gray dial, reminiscent of a snowy landscape, evokes the scene of deep snow after the "Great Snow" period (Taisetsu), one of the 24 solar terms, when snow falls heavily.
