- The U.S. Navy aerobatic team, the "Blue Angels," was founded in 1946. This model is the third timepiece created through IWC's licensing agreement with the "Blue Angels." Inspired by military watches developed in collaboration with the team members at Pensacola Air Base in Florida, the case features a vibrant blue ceramic. This unique color is achieved by combining zirconia and metal oxides. The dial features the "Blue Angels" crest and the U.S. Navy's gold wing at the 6 o'clock position, and the titanium case back is engraved with a special font. Details such as the chronograph seconds hand, small seconds, and day/date display at the 3 o'clock position are accented in yellow, faithfully representing the team's colors.
