- Developed in 1953 for all explorers, Explorer I has undergone numerous updates throughout its long history, and this particular model is the Ref. 124270, released in 2021. While retaining its simple design, which even lacks a date display, the case has been downsized to 36mm. This is said to be modeled after its predecessor, the Ref. 114270, and the dial layout also follows that of this legendary model. The movement is the Cal. 3230, touted as the latest generation. It boasts extremely high magnetic and shock resistance, stable high precision, and a long power reserve of approximately 70 hours. Water resistance is 100m. It is a culmination of ROLEX technology. *Some units have been found to come with the instruction manual for the 214270 from the time of manufacturer sale.
