The black dial, which is rare among the caliber 83s, is a valuable dial with a slight brown discoloration. There are no cracks in the dial, and the change to brown has begun, albeit slightly. The radium luminescence of the hands and indexes is well-balanced and gives off a good antique feeling. It has a pretty beautiful exterior for a model of this age.

- This model was equipped with the Hand Winding movement Cal.83 manufactured in the 1930s~1940s. IWC, which pioneered pilot's watches, had established anti-magnetic technology from an early stage, but this is one of the rare watches that uses anti-magnet material for the balance. The black dial with a slight brown change is also rare and irresistible to enthusiasts.
