- We have received a highly collectible vintage IWC watch. The movement it houses, Cal. 8531, is a caliber equipped with a calendar function, based on the Cal. 853, which is the third generation of the Cal. 85 series and was the first to adopt the highly efficient Pellaton winding system. IWC movements from this era are extremely durable due to the meticulous finishing, such as perlage, applied to every detail, and some experts rate them on par with Patek Philippe.
