- The Fifty Fathoms is a diving watch created in 1953 at the request of the French Navy. "Bathyscaphe" means "submersible," and it lives up to its name with its water resistance (30 atmospheres). This particular model is a limited edition of 500 pieces, featuring a sand-beige dial and a matching sail canvas strap. Its design is inspired by a dive conducted in 1962 by underwater photographer Ernest H. Brooks II at Devil's Hole in Death Valley, in the northern Mojave Desert of Nevada.
